NaBloPoMo Day 11 – This is not the blog you were looking for

Standard

So I started writing this great blog post whilst sat in the
AMV offices today, except it’s on my other computer and last night
I struggled to get my machine working online, so I’m afraid you are
going to get off the cuff, made up on the spot Becca blog. Except I
am watching the finale of Dexter season 4 and it is really rather
interesting! So short and sweet it is going to be. Sorry gang! But
I have a question for you… what do you
want me to blog about?!

NaBloPoMo day 10 – and breathe

Standard

Phew. Mild panic just then. Went to write todays blog post and day 9 wasn’t on my phone. I could have sworn I did blog yesterday. And I did. But because I did it on my computer it didn’t show here.

I’m now a third of the way through NaBloPoMo and I’m really pleased I’ve stuck with it so long.

I’ve learned a few things too. One thing I think I’ve learned is that my blog is lacking direction. It’s kind of schizophrenic and I think that is probably why I have so many problems writing regularly. And I’ve been thinking. I am in the process of building a content plan for work. What harm is there in building a content plan for my blog? It doesn’t have to be rigid, and flexibility is important, but if I have some ideas I should save them in a vague plan!

I also get easily distracted. I remember when we used to plan events for the guides and brownies. We had to divide the time slots up into small chunks, because the girls so easily got distracted by something else. I’m just like that!! Whatever I’m doing I find myself quickly flitting from one thing to another. I think this is why my favourite craft is jewellery making…. Lots of small tasks, you don’t have to focus for too long!

Anyway. Those are my 2 lessons for today. Did you learn anything?

NaBloPoMo – day 1

Standard

I’m going to have a go at NaBloPoMo this year, in the hope that daily blogging for a month will encourage me to blog more. I’ve been seriously neglecting my little space here and it needs a spruce, and a tidy up ready for the new year.

I’ve got tonnes of stuff to write about, so here goes nothing… It is November 1st and I’ll be here all month!

Today is my dad’s birthday, I’m just back from spending the weekend with my family and we also fitted in a visit with Dave’s mum and dad, all of which were very lovely, but the weekends just fly by.  I’ve got a list of craft stuff I want to attempt as long as my arm, and sadly not really enough time to do it, especially with trekking backwards and forwards on the train to London, I had an idea of taking some stuff on the train with me, but its just awkward.

Anyhoo, this is just an introduction and a reminder to my few readers that I’m still here and will be for a while (I hope!)

Bring it on november!
